An 11-year-old animal lover in Lebanon is earning widespread admiration after helping rescue a frightened pregnant stray dog and ultimately ensuring the animal and her puppies found loving homes overseas. A Young Girl’s Compassion Sparks a Rescue Mission
The young girl has loved dogs since early childhood and was deeply troubled by the number of strays living on Lebanon’s streets. Their persistence paid off when Odi reappeared around Christmas Eve, having recently delivered her puppies. Although the dog remained fearful, she unintentionally led rescuers to the location of her litter hidden inside a cave. The girl played a crucial role in the rescue, bravely entering the confined space to retrieve each puppy.
She carefully ensured none were left behind before reuniting them with their mother. In total, nine healthy puppies were safely brought out. The rescue marked a turning point, allowing Odi and her litter to receive proper care, shelter, and nourishment for the first time.
